Three Places Where You Can Host Large Wedding Receptions And Not Worry About Space

Travel Blog

Some people host very large weddings and wedding receptions. Aside from the cost, it gets to be pretty difficult to hold that many guests in one place, feed them, and then dance with them. At the very least, you have to feed them, and then it is not just the number of people you have to fit in the space. It is the number of tables and chairs too. If you need someplace with some major space for your wedding reception, the following ideas should get you started.

Rodeo or Sports Arena

Rodeo arenas have become very popular recently for brides who want a "country" or "cowboy" wedding. They are very dirty, however, so if you do not want to get your wedding dress filthy, you might want to consider another, similar venue. Such a venue is a sports arena. Sports arenas can be rented out for a price, and there is certainly plenty of seating that is included in the cost. Have the reception in adjoining enclosed boxed seats where people roam from box room to box room, or hold it on the playing floor/field, depending on the time of year.

Hotel Conference Rooms

Hotel conference rooms have divider panels that slide open and shut to increase or decrease venue space. This is ideal for really large weddings that may need all or just two-thirds of the space of the conference room. Additionally, many hotels will cut you a deal for holding your reception there when you also rent a block of rooms for out-of-town guests. Contact a hotel like Georgios Banquets, Quality Inn & Suites Conference Centre for more information.

Outdoor Weddings

Pick the largest open park near your home. Rent the pavilion for rain or shine, and make sure the pavilion can hold about three hundred people, at least (if your wedding is going to be that big). Rental fees for the day are very affordable, but you will have to hire a caterer or have several relatives offer to barbecue for the wedding meal. There is always more than enough space to spread out in a park and plenty of space for kids to run and play (if you are allowing children to attend). Picnic tables may be used, or, if there are not enough picnic tables, rent tables and chairs to put out in the park the day of the wedding and pay a team of people to put up the tables and chairs. Some party rental stores will do that for you.

Making Travel A Little Simpler

For years, I really struggled with the concept of getting out of my comfort zone. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew that I had to do something to get out and see the world. I began talking with a friend of mine about traveling, and she was on board. We began working in fields where a lot of travel was required, and it was truly exciting to us. I wanted to begin a little blog that helped other people to make travel simpler, since it can be easy to get overwhelmed when it comes to travel.
