3 Great Tips To Remember When Attending A Wine Tour With Others

Travel Blog

If you're looking for something fun to do with a group of friends, consider a wine tour. It gives you the chance to taste some great wines and learn about their history. To maximize this experience to the fullest, consider these tips.

Select The Right Winery

If there are multiple wineries in your area, you'll need to conduct some research so you can narrow down your list of options to just one. To find the right fit for you and your friends, see what different wineries charge for these types of tours. Look for the rate that everyone can afford.

It's also a good idea to assess the winery's location. Ideally, look for one that is easily accessible for your entire party. Conclude your search by seeing what previous customers think about a particular winery. The more positive reviews, the better.

Come in Educated

Although these wine tours will teach you about a lot of different types of wines and their history, that doesn't mean you should come into these tours totally oblivious. Instead, you should come in somewhat educated. You can then truly immerse yourself in this experience, as you'll know bits of information being talked about from your guide.

In terms of education, try researching basic wines that you think you'll try at the tour. It helps to taste them and develop your palette. Then when the wine tour starts, you'll already have an idea of what wines you'd like to try more of and possibly buy.

Find a Safe Ride Home

Since you've probably had a lot of alcohol at one of these wine tours, you shouldn't even consider driving home. Doing so is not only illegal, but it puts you and others at risk. The best thing you can do is find a safe ride home.

There are many ways you can approach this. For example, you can have one of your friends or family members designate themselves as the driver. As the DD, they won't have any alcohol and thus will be ready to drive once the tour concludes. Or, you can hire an on-demand private driver. Everyone can pitch in so that the fee home isn't as expensive.

Wine tours are meant to be fun and educational. If you're thinking about going to one with some friends or family members, be sure to make the right preparations in advance. Then, your time during the tour will be much more enjoyable overall.

Making Travel A Little Simpler

For years, I really struggled with the concept of getting out of my comfort zone. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew that I had to do something to get out and see the world. I began talking with a friend of mine about traveling, and she was on board. We began working in fields where a lot of travel was required, and it was truly exciting to us. I wanted to begin a little blog that helped other people to make travel simpler, since it can be easy to get overwhelmed when it comes to travel.
